Samsung’s Smart Home Lighting System Now Works with Adaptive Lighting

Samsung has updated its Smart Home Lighting System to support Adaptive Lighting. This new feature lets lights adjust their color temperature based on the time of day. In the morning, lights appear cooler and brighter to help users feel alert. As evening approaches, they shift to warmer tones to support relaxation.

The system works with Samsung SmartThings devices. Users can control it through the SmartThings app on their phone or tablet. Setup is simple. Just connect compatible bulbs and follow the instructions in the app. No extra hardware is needed.

Adaptive Lighting runs automatically once enabled. It uses the local sunrise and sunset times to decide when to change the light. Users can also set custom schedules if they prefer. The feature is designed to match natural daylight patterns. This helps maintain healthy sleep cycles and improve daily comfort.

Samsung says this update is part of its effort to make smart homes more intuitive. The company believes lighting should respond to human needs without requiring constant input. With Adaptive Lighting, the system does the work for you.

The update is available now for all supported Samsung Smart Home Lighting products. Existing users will receive it through a free software update. New buyers get it built in from the start. Compatible bulbs include select models from Samsung’s own line as well as third-party options that work with SmartThings.
