(PLEASE REMEMBER: The below how-to guide is solely made for Nexus 7 tablet. Do not apply these steps on any other device. However the ROM is also flagged as experimental by the developers, which means that some functions or features may not work properly, as expected.)

Note: Follow this guide at your own risk. We are in no way to blame for any thing that may happen to your Nexus 7 tablet after executing the below steps.

Steps to flash CyanogenMod 10 Jelly Bean on Nexus 7 tablet

Step#1: First of all you need to have ClockworkMod recovery installed on your Nexus 7 tablet. If you do not have the ClockworkMod recovery installed on your Nexus 7, then install it right away.

Step#2: Once you have ClockworkMod recovery installed on your Nexus 7, download and save the CyanogenMod 10 ROM file in your computer from this link.

Step#3: Now download and save the Google Apps Package (GAPPS) from this link in your PC.

Step#4: After downloading the Google Apps Package, create a copy of the CyanogenMod 10 and GAPPS zipped files into the root path of the tablet’s Micro SD card and switch off the device. Remember, both the files should not be present in any folder, instead put them in a more memorable location (either on your desktop or drive).

Step#5: Now push and continue to hold down both the volume buttons and the power button simultaneously until your tablet enters into the ClockworkMod Recovery mode at boot up.

Step#6: At this point, execute a NANDroid backup of your tablet’s current ROM. Choose “Backup and Restore” ahead of selecting “Backup”. When the process completes, go back to the original recovery menu.

Step#7: Now choose the “Install zip” from “SD Card” option before selecting the “Choose zip” from the “SD card” option once more and go back to the CyanogenMod 10 file which you copied in Step#4. Tap on YES on the screen.

Step#8: Now follow the same process for the GAPPS file uploaded to the SD card of your Nexus 7 tablet. After that, go back to the main menu and choose “reboot system now” to finish the process.

Now you have CyanogenMod 10 successfully installed on your Nexus 7 tablet. Enjoy!
